Mindful Parenting

Can You Think of Anything More Rewarding, More Challenging?
Have you considered that parenting is something that affects every human in the world. It may be the single most important action in shaping the future – everyone’s future. But as imminently more important than driving a car, selling insurance, flying a plan, or myriad other activities, it doesn’t require a license, training or even intention.
However it occurs, one day you realize that you are now a parent and some other being on this planet who didn’t ask to be here is now here (or soon to be) and it is your full time responsibility to help them live a successful life. Wow!
As a father of four and someone who’s spent the last 20 years teaching children, I’ve concluded that the mystery of how to be a perfect parent is one that no one has solved, but there are some things I’ve discovered, stumbled upon, or that just hit me like a baseball bat that will make a huge difference for you and your kids!
So, I’m inviting you to join me and my wife Rachel, for a lively, funny, useful seminar we’ve called Mindful Parenting.
Before I give you the dates and logistics, let me just tell you what we mean by this strange sounding title. Think of the word mindful as the opposite of “automatic” or “reactionary” or “habit driven” – mindfulness is a way of approaching life in which we stay available to possibility, keep a positive focus, and in many cases escape the traps set for us by society and perhaps negative experiences we had as children.
Here are some of the topics we’ll cover in our seminar:
- Conditional Parenting
- Giving and Withholding Love
- Too Much Control
- Pushed to Succeed
- Triggers and the Adrenalized Mind
- Subtle Manipulation and Large Wounds
- Turning Tension into Trust
- Direct, Guide, Assist, Partner – The Proper Phases of Parenting
Of course each one of these could be seminars in and of themselves, but we feel it’s best to give you a good groundwork as the ultimate teacher in parenting will be you. This is an opportunity for you to laugh and share with other parents about the specific topic which consumes almost all our lives for 18yrs but for which we really had no preparation or training.
Making time for this will be a great reward for you! So get the sitters lined up and register now.
Hope to see you there. Next Date TBA. Stay tuned!
Best,
Eric and Rachel Beck
